HRWMO implemented various social and development projects in 34 provinces, collaborating with international donors to safeguard human rights, support media advocacy and capacity, and enhance sustainable development.
HRWMO, which is also known as Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), is registered with the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs, and Disabled (MLSAMD). HRWMO has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with MLSAMD to implement TVET programs. The organization emphasizes economic empowerment to achieve common goals in reducing the potential impact of humanitarian crises on Afghan women and young people.
Furthermore, HRWMO is officially registered as an independent professional media institute affiliated with the Ministry of Information and Culture. Its main goal is to enhance the capabilities of local media, journalists, and broadcast programs in order to advocate for women’s human rights.
HRWMO operates a modern and well-equipped studio staffed by experienced journalists. The organization collaborates with over 34 independent FM radio stations as broadcasting partners. Additionally, it has 12 volunteer local media monitors, 8 public opinion research teams across 8 zones, and 4 members in the central monitoring team.
HRWMO has an electronic monitoring system that oversees the broadcasting of local radio stations via telephone. It is widely believed that HRWMO is capable of effectively implementing projects nationwide and providing the necessary resources for the successful execution of development, capacity-building, and public outreach initiatives.
HRWMO is a human rights defender organization with membership in Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster (FSAC). HRWMO actively participates in cluster meetings and stays informed about the humanitarian situation across the country.
Despite having robust stakeholder networks and partnerships, HRWMO has implemented several projects in collaboration with international and civil society organizations. HRWMO is keen on partnering with other organizations that share the same mission and vision in order to achieve common goals in Afghanistan.
