HRWMO successfully implemented the Strengthening Needy Families project under the stakeholders’ direct supervision and full coordination with Islamic values, Islamic Emirate laws, and culturally sensitive contexts.

In this project, about 88 people from the two districts were trained in mobile phone manufacturing and solar panel repairing to better serve families and society in the future.

Mobile phone manufacturing profession, and 66 youths have been trained in the field of mobile phone making in both practical and theoretical forms for about six months. They have completely learned the practical and theoretical aspects of mobile making.

HRWMO also conducted training in the solar sector, and 22 young people are undergoing training in this profession. These individuals have been trained in solar construction in both practical and theoretical forms for about six months, and after passing the exams, all trainees are awarded certified certificates from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and HRWMO for running small businesses in their community, district, and province and supporting their family members.

The participants of both sections were also given professional training on various topics, such as management, dispute resolution, interest-based negotiation, conflict early warning and/or mitigation, and addressing community-level priorities and grievances. At the same time, the trainees receive literacy and numeracy skills and learn how to manage work in the future, how to market, how to communicate, how to solve problems in their society, and have a proper understanding.

The project included advocacy and awareness-raising programs through media and community mobilization. During the project’s life, 36 radio round tables, radio dramas, and interviews with women on women’s rights, social and economic participation, and various forms of family violence against women and girls were conducted through partner radio stations, alongside well-known community figures, religious scholars, and women entrepreneurs and activists.

HRWMO conducted a community awareness workshop for 150 community leaders, youth, and religious scholars on dispute resolution, interest-based negotiation, conflict early warning and/or mitigation, and addressing community-level priorities and grievances. The main purpose of the project was to train the youth as agents of change in supporting women’s rights, avoiding drug use, and preventing illegal migration to become useful citizens in their families and communities.
